Kristin Fisher has joined CNN on 20 July 2021. She is CNN's Space and Defense Correspondent. She covers everything, from NASA as well as the Space Force and commercial space businesses to the rise of space tourism. Kristin is the daughter of NASA astronauts, and also an avid space fan, grew up immersed in the industry. She served for five years in the position of White House correspondent for FOX News covering space policy under the Biden and Trump Administrations. Through that time she covered the 2020 presidential campaign, the impeachment trial as well as two initiatives to end the pandemic coronavirus, and two other administrations' initiatives. She traveled extensively with both the President and Vice-President included a trip exclusive to Afghanistan that she made along with Donald Trump. Prior to being hired by the channel in, Kristin spent nearly a decade working her way up through local TV news markets in Grand Junction, Colorado; Little Rock, Arkansas; and Washington, D.C. where she received the Emmy Award as a one-man-band reporter for the Washington, D.C.'s CBS affiliate. Kristin utilized her knowledge in the field to create Field Mouse Films. The company specialized in producing documentary-style films and was a favorite of corporate clients like Uber, Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin earned her Bachelor of Science Diploma in Journalism from Boston University. She lives in Washington, D.C., with her family, including their three-year-old daughter.
